Questions.

Does ScrollPause require an account?

No. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no email capture. Install the app, set it up, and use it.

Where is my data stored?

On your phone. Insights, history, and preferences live in your device's local storage and are never synced elsewhere.

Why does ScrollPause need Accessibility permission?

Accessibility permission is used in Full Pause mode to detect scroll events in real time. The app shows a dedicated disclosure screen explaining exactly what we do and do not do with it, every time you are about to grant it, and asks you to tap "I Agree and Enable Accessibility" before opening system settings. The full list of what the permission is and is not used for is on the privacy page.

Is ScrollPause free?

Yes. There are no paid tiers, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions.

Is there an iOS version?

Not currently. ScrollPause uses Android-specific APIs (Accessibility, Usage Access) that don't have iOS equivalents. iOS would be a different product.

Will ScrollPause drain my battery?

No. ScrollPause uses standard Android background services designed for low power consumption. The Accessibility API in Full Pause mode is event-driven, not polling, so it only does work when something is actually happening.

Can I export my data?

Not yet. ScrollPause stores everything on-device, and the current version doesn't include an export feature. If you want this, drop a note via Support.

Does ScrollPause work without internet?

Yes. The app's core function - noticing your scrolling and interrupting it - works fully offline. The Discover content fetched when you tap a notification needs internet, but ScrollPause has an offline fallback (a guided breathing exercise) when you're disconnected.

Take a moment.

ScrollPause is free. No accounts. No ads. No tracking. Install it, set it up, and let it fade into the background.
