What ScrollPause does
ScrollPause runs in the background and watches for the moment your scrolling becomes the kind that doesn't feel good. It then sends you a quiet pause: a quote, a single breath, or one minute of guided 4-7-8 breathing if you ask for it.
There are three intervention modes. Gentle sends timed nudges. Aware notices when you have been in an app a while. Full Pause interrupts in real time. Pick what fits your week. Change it any time.
Nothing about your activity leaves your phone. Nothing is sold. Nothing is uploaded. Insights are computed and stored on the device. The privacy page lists every byte that ever touches a server, which is almost none.
Three ways to pause
Aware
Notices when you have been in an app a while. ScrollPause uses Android's Usage Access to recognize sessions and intervenes with intent, not on a timer.
Full Pause
Real-time. ScrollPause uses the Accessibility API to see scroll events as they happen, and interrupts the ones that look like they are going nowhere.
Tap to pause
Every pause notification can take you to a small thing worth your attention: a poem, a single fact, a piece of generative art, a curious idea. Or, if you choose, a one-minute 4-7-8 breathing exercise, right where you are.

Privacy isn't a feature
Wellness apps shouldn't be selling attention. ScrollPause runs entirely on your device. No ads, no analytics SDKs, no cloud sync, no email signup, no account. Your scroll patterns, your time-of-day rhythms, your insights, they live on your phone and don't leave it.
